Whitney, William, p. o. Binghamton, farmer, owns seventy five acres, has been supervisor and commissioner of
highways, justice of peace and overseer of poor of the towns of Binghamton and Conklin, has held the office of
superintendent of streets in the city of Binghamton, born in this town in 1819, son of John Whitney who came here
with his father John, who settled on the farm south. He was one of the first settlers in town; wife, Rhoda A. Blakeslee,
daughter of Zebulon Blakeslee, one son Burt E.
