ALBERT F. STEINMAN - The career of Albert F. Steinman. secretary and treasurer of the Kelly & Steinman Cut
Glass Company of Deposit, New York, is an example of what perseverance and determination will yield. His success
has been worthily achieved. Mr. Steinman was born October 15, 1886, in MilIville, New Jersey, son of Frank and
Sarah R. Steinman. The former was identified with the glass business for many years and founded the plant of which
his son is now an executive. For over a quarter of a century the elder Mr. Steinman was active in the management
of this business.
Albert F. Steinman obtained his education in the public schools of Toledo, Ohio, where his parents made their home
during his boyhood, and his schooling was completed at the Keystone Academy at Factoryville, Pennsylvania. Soon
after this time he became associated with his father and learned the business in every detail with a view to assuming
its responsibility in later years. In due course of time he proved his qualifications, and he was made secretary,
and laterthe office of treasurer was added to his duties. Mr. Steinman has ably discharged the responsibilities
which have come to him and is prominent among his fellow business men. In public matters he has also taken an active
part, and at the present time (1922) is serving as trustee of the village of Deposit, and for two years was a member
of the New York State Guard. Fraternally he is a Mason, and has passed through several of the chairs.
Mr. Steinman married, November 15, 1913, at Deposit, Evelyn F. Wheeler, daughter of George W. and Mary F. (Fisher)
Wheeler, and they are the parents of the following children: Mary W., Albert F., Sarah H., Jane F., Christina.
The family attend and aid in the support of the Presbyterian church.
