Smith, Leroy H., p.o. Centre Lisle, born in Wisconsin, June 12th, 1846, and after removing to Connecticut, Brooklyn,
Woodhull and Cincinnatus came to Centre Lisle with his parents, Lewis S. and Eliza A. (Hurlbut) Smith, now of Lisle,
in 1859. Mr. Smith has been extensively engaged in the manufacture of lumber for several years, and is at present
engaged in the manufacture of fire arms in Ithaca, known as the Ithaca Gun Company; he owns 160 acres of land and
is highway commissioner of the town; he was married June 28th, 1868, to Eunice T. Howland, youngest daughter of
Pardon and Philena (Peudell) Howland, natives of Massachusetts, who settled here in 1808; Mr. Howland died in February,
1879, aged seventy six years, his wife died in September, 1856, aged forty eight years; children three: Louis P.,
born May 14th, 1871, Lena E., born March 24th, 1875, and Claude H., born March 2d, 1880.
