WARD HEATH was born March 22, 1874, in Windsor, New York, the son of Irving and Hattie (West) Heath, and at
an early age he began his business life in assisting his father, who was engaged in farming and carpentering. As
a young boy he developed the habit of thoroughness and he attributes much of the success he enjoys today to this
quality. Mr. Heath has continued to follow agricultural pursuits, and has also engaged extensively in the business
of lumbering. His farm lands consist of eighty three acres, and he is considered one of the progressive citizens
of his community. Mr. Heath's financial connections are with the Binghamton Savings Bank, and in his political
views he is a Republican. While Mr. Heath is not actively identified with any public rn fraternal organization,
he is keenly interested in civic matters; in forming his judgments, he is slow and cautious, but is not easily
turned aside from forming his conclusions.
Mr. Heath married, March 3, 1897, in West Windsor, New York, Mary E. Simpson, born June 27, 1874, in Windsor, daughter
of George and Elizabeth (Carrier) Simpson. The children of this marriage were: Douglas, born November 12, 1899;
Hattie, born March 16, 1902; Russell, born March 12, 1906; and Carrie, born April 27, 1908. With his family, Mr.
Heath attends the West Windsor Baptist Church, and in the welfare of this institution he takes a deep interest
and is ever willing to contribute to its support.
