Gardner, Ira, born in Essex county, N. J., in 1822, settled in town in 1826. Parents, John and Mary (Williams)
Gardner. Mr. Gardner is a farmer and owns 200 acres, was commissioner of highways several times; wife, Almira Pardee,
daughter of Samuel and Julina (Jerome) Pardee, of Connecticut, who settled in county in 1840, children five.
