Timothy McKenna, a pioneer of Union township, resided in that township for a number of years, developing a farm
from wi1d land with the help of his oxen. He later moved to Caledonia township, where he spent the rest of his
life, and was a well known and respected citizen. He was a member of the Catholic church, and served on the school
board of his district. He married Mary Murphy, a native of the same county in Ireland as himself.
