F. W. Meyer, merchant, is a native of Germany, born may 19th. 1861. In his native land his youth was passed,
and in 1870 he came to this continent, landing in New York city. Came directly to Hastings, where he has since
resided, having no relatives this side of the ocean. In 1877 the firm of Meyer, Whitman and Frye, dealers in dry-goods
and clothing, was formed, they being the heaviest firm in Hastings. Mr. Meyer is a single man.
