Richard P. McAndrews was born in 1845, in Ireland. In 1847, he went to England and to America, accompanied by
his parents in 1856. Coming direct to Green Vale, they located on their present farm. He was one of the town supervisors
three years, justice of the peace three years, and in the fall of 1880, elected to represent his district in the
legislature. He was married during the winter of 1869, to Miss Hannah Major. John, Partrick Henry, Thomas, George
F. and Richard are their children.
