P. A. Heitz, M. D., is a native of Germany, born February 12th, 1820. Acquired his education in his native country,
and graduated from the University of Heidelberg with the degree of M. D., in 1846. Practiced there until coming
to this continent in 1847. Located at Malta, Ohio, practicing one year, thence to Hannibal Missouri, and practiced
until July. 1880. He then removed to Hastings and is here permanently located. He was elected vice president of
the State Medical Association of Missouri, being still a member, is also a member of the Marion County, Missouri,
Medical Society. Mary J. Webster, of Georgetown, D. C., became his wife in June, 1844. Louis, Anna, John, Homer,
Mary, Orma, Elizabeth and Philip are their children.
