John Heisinger is a native of Germany, born in 1888. When fourteen years old, he began learning the painter's
trade, serving an apprenticeship of three years. In 1867, came to America and worked three years at his trade in
New York, thence to Chicago, and in 1870, came to St. Paul and engaged in the pursuit of his trade eight years.
He then purchased seventy four acres of land in West St. Paul, and has since engaged in agricultural pursuits.
In 1863, married Miss Mary Smith, who has borne him four children the living are: Rudolph, Aurelia and Johanna.
