Patrick Couhlin was born in County Galway, Ireland, March 6th, 1818. He came to this continent in 1852, proceeding
from Boston to Clinton, Massachusetts. For years later he removed to Minnesota, locating on a farm in Eagan township,
which place has since been his home. He now holds the office of clerk of school district. Married in 1852, to Fanny
Slik, a native of Ireland. Three children have been born to them: Mary Ann, Thomas and Frank.
