ZUCKERMAN, Leo J., ladies' garments; born, Chicago, May 23, 1875; son of Joseph and Matilda (Langbein) Zuckerman; educated in public schools, Chicago; married, Feb. 22, 1896, Lillye Goldfinger, of Chicago; 2 children: Phyllis, Elmer. Began active career as salesman with H. Friend, "The Columbus" cloak and suit house, Chicago, and continued 12 years; started in business for self in Chicago, 1900; removed to Detroit, 1908. Conducts store, "Leo Zuckerman," at 176 Woodward Ave., and the Elmers Cloak and Suit House, established, 1899, at 140 Woodward Ave.; became president of latter upon incorporation, Sept., 1912. Also proprietor cloak and suit department Goldberg Bros. depatmont store; president The Bresler Co., of Minneapolis, Minn. Independent in politics. Hebrew religion. Member Detreit Board of Commeroe. Member Knights of Pythias. Recreations: motering, travel. Office 140 Woodward Ave. Residence: 25 Edison Ave.
