ZIMMERSCHIED, Karl William, metallurgist; born, Kansas City, Mo., Aug. 27, 1880; son of John Ferdinand and Caroline Matilda, (Rosenbury) Zimmarschied; graduated Manual Training High School, Kansas City, 1898; A.B., University of Michigan, 1903, M.S., 1904; Koenigliche Tecnische Hochschule, Oharlottenburg, Germany, 1909-10; married, Aug. 25, 1912, Margaret M. Ruppe, of Hancock, Mich. Instructor in quantitative analysia, University of Illinois, 1904-5; instructor in metallurgy, University of Michigan, 1905-11; metallurgist, later director of tests, General Motors Co., since 1911. Now resident lecturer in metallurgy, University of Michigan, since 1912. Republican. Lutheran. Membar Society Automobile Engineers, American Society for Testing Materials, American Chemical Society. Office: cor. Brush and Comgress Sts. Residence: 84 Msrston Ct.
