ZEIGEN, Frederic H., real estate and building contractor; born, Saginaw, Mich., Apr. 18, 1874; son of Cass and Marion (Weber) Zeigen; educated in public schools of Saginaw up to 1890; Ypsilanti High School, graduating, 1898; Ypsilanti State Normal College, graduating 1900; Nashville College of Law, LL.B.; George Washington University, LL.D.; married at Ypsilanti, Sept. 20, 1899, Myrtle Co. mer; children: Eola Valencia, Phyllis Myrtle. Was superintendent public schools for several years after college; established the Zeigen Real Estate Exchange, Detroit, 1903. and has since been engaged in real estate and building operations, averaging about flfty five buildings per year stores, factories and homes. President and general manager Zeigen Construction Co.; general manager Zeigen Real Estate Exchange; former vice president Detroit Concrete Stone Co.; vice president Detroit hYDRAULIC Stone Co.; secretary and treasurer United Construction Co.; secretary Great lAKES Concrete Machinery Co.; treasurer Metropolitan Publishing Co. and A. C. Jacob Co.; director Great Lakes Concrete Co.; president Zeus Electric Co. Member Detroit Real Estate Board, Board of Commerce. Captain of Light Infantry, Saginaw, 1890-92; FIRST lieutenant Adrian Volunteers, Spanish American War. Republican. Methodist. Member National Educational Association, Michigan State Teachers' Assoeiation, Michigan Authors' Association (secretary and director), international Historical Society, International Geographical Society. Mason (32°); member Modern Woodmen of America. Recreation: automobiling. Well known as writer of poems and short stories in magazines; also. as composer of songs, words and music to "My Michigan"; "God Bless Our Home"; "Song of the Rolling Deep," and other songs. ZENNER, Albert Henry, president Zenner Disinfectant Co.; born, Syracuse, N. Y., Aug. 2, 1869; son of Simon H. Zenner; educatod in public schools of New York state. Began in employ of the Electrical Supply Co. of Chicago; came to Detroit, 1893, and organized the Zenner Disinfectant Co., of which was manager, 1893-1908, since president. Republican. Member Michigan State Board of Agriculture (advisory committee); directed Detroit Board of Commerce. Recreation: fishing. Office: 84 Lafayette Boul. Residence: 768 Case Ave.
