YOUNG, Mathew A., automobiles; born, Alliston, Ont., Can., Dec. 16, 1872; son of Mathew A. and Elizabeth (Gibb) Young; ednested, in public schools, Ontario; Ontario College of Pharmacy, Toronto, Can., 1891 and 1892, degrees of Ph.M.B. and A.C. (analytical chemist); married, Nov. 11, 1897, Mary E. Wilderspin, of Amherstburg, Ont.; 1 child, Kathleen Elizabeth. In drug business, Toronto, Can., 1892-93; conducted drug store, Lansing, Mich., 1893-95; removed to Detroit, 1895, and proprietor drug store until 1900; entered automobile business as Young & Miller, 1900; in same line of business alone since 1905, now distributor Reo & Mitchell pleasure and commercial cars. Member Detroit Automobile Dealers' Association. Republican. Methodist. Mason (32°), Shriner. Club: Detroit Motor Boat. Recreations: automobiling, fishing, hunting.
