YENTSCH, Edward, banking; born, Detroit, Feb. 9, 1870; son of Herman and Louise (Stark) Yentsch; common school education until 12; went to work until the age of 16 years; graduated Detroit Business University, 1887; married, Nov. 24, 1897, Mathilda Seidel, of Redford, Mich.; 4 children: Edward, Jr., Amalia, Louise, Alfred. Began as delivery boy with Wagner Baking Co., continuing 5 years; then attended business college; with German American Bank since June 1, 1888, cashier since Jan. 1, 1913; secretary and treasurer Pope Baking Co.; director Broadway Theatre. Republican. Presbyterian; Mason. Member German American Association. Recreation: outdoor sports, Office: German American Bank, cor. Griswold St. and Lafayette Boul. Residence: 301 McClellan Ave.
