VIEMAN, Charles L.; born, Harrisburg, O., Sept. 29, 1857; son of Charles and Catherine (Miller) Vieman; educated in public schools of Harrisburg; unmarried. Taught school in Piekaway and Franklin counties, O., 1875-87, and was dry goods salesman at Columbus; entered life insurance business with Mutual Life Insurance Co., 1887; was appointed special agent for Ohio and West Virginia, for John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co., Jan., 1887, in charge of Michigan agency of the company, 1891-1913 (resigned). Has been identified with Detroit Life Underwriters' Association since its organization, having served as president, vice president, member exceutive board, and delegate to annual conventions of the National Association of Life Underwriters. Mason (32°), Shriner; member I. O. O. F., Ohio Society of Detroit. Democrat. Club: Felloweraft. Recreation: fishing. Residence: The Lenox.
