VAUGHN, Clarence Sherman, real estate and general building contractor; born, Detroit, Dec. 9, 1871; son of Frank B. and Mary (Dawson) Vaughn; educated in Detroit public schools and Detroit Business University; married, Mar. 16, 1897, Kate Dupont, of Detroit; 1 daughter, Catherine Southard. Began active career, 1889, as clerk in Home Savings Bank, Detroit, continuing until 1893; since engaged in real estate business; also in general contracting business as the C. S. Vaughn Co. since 1905, and general roofing contractor, under title of the B. Armstrong Co. since May, 1908; president of both companies. Presbyterian. Member Y. M. C. A. Mason; member Detroit Commaudery, Knights Templar. Club: Detroit Athletic. Recreations: baseball, automobiling. Office: 22 Buhl Blk. Residence: 129 Putnam Ave.
