VAN WORMER, Clyde Emery, secretary R. H. Fyfe & Co.; born, Kinderhook, Mich., Feb. 6, 1884; son of William P. and Mary E. (Adams) Van Wormer; descendant on mother's side of John Quincy Adams, of Massachusetts; educated in public schools and business college; married Clara C. Gordon, of Detroit, Feb. 15, 1913. Began in shoe business with which has ever since been connected; varied experience in shoe houses of northern and southern Michigan; removed to Detroit, 1905, and was with B. H. Fyfe & Co., retail shoe dealers, as advertising man until incorporation of the firm in 1910; since seeretary of the company. Protestant. Recreation: fishing. Office: 183-185 Woodward Ave. Residence: 277 Merrick Ave.
