VAN VOLKENBURGH, Heber S.; born, Albany, N. Y., Oct. 12, 1860; son of Heber and Mary E. (Griffith) Van Volkenburgh; educated high school and Oberlin College; married, 1888, Ida M. Taylor, of Detroit (who died, Nov. 27, 1911); 3 sons: Robert H., Vivian A., Leon. Began active career in steam and hot water heating, and engineering, Albank, N. Y.; removed to Detroit, 1888; was connected with The Monat Heater Co., of Detroit, The Nashville Machine Co., of Nashville, Tenn.; sales manager American Radiator Co. of Michigan since June, 1896. Protestant. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. Club: Exchange. Recreations: fishing, hunting. Office: 172 Jefferson Ave. Residence: 26 Melbourne Ave. Summer Residence: Pt. Duchene, Algonac, Mich.
