(Edgecombe) Vandeveer; descended from Holland Dutch ancestors who settled at New Amsterdam (now New York); graduated Upson Seminary, New Preston, Conn., 1897; LL.B., Yale Law School, 1900; married, June 30, 1900, Vesta Hardy, of New Haven, Conn.; children: Leroy, Rudolph, Ethelwyn, Rosalind. Practiced in St. Louis, 1900-3, since in Detroit; attorney Travelers' Insurance Co. for State of Michigan. Member Michigan State Bar Association, Association Bar City of Detroit, Lawyers' Club of Detroit. Republican. Clubs: Wolverine Auto, Detroit Athletic, Harmonie Society.
