Nichols, of Haverhill, Mass.; 1 son, Percy, Jr. In real estate and insurance business, Oswego, N. Y., until 1897; with Globe Rutgers Fire Insurance Co., New York, 1897-99; agent Winton Motor Carriage Co., New York, 1899; eastern sales manager Winton Motor Carriage Co., 1900-6; raced Winton cars in track and road meets, 1900-3; American representative in Gordon Bennett International Automobile Race, Ireland, 1903; importer Bionchi cars for U. S. and Canada, 1907-8; vice president and general manager Carl H. Page & Co., Chalmers distributors, New York, 1908-10; eastern sales manager Chalmers Motor Co., New York, 1910; sales manager same company, Detroit, since 1912. President New York City Auto Trade Association, 1902-4 and 1906; treasurer National Association Auto Manufacturers, 1904-6. Presbyterian. Mason, Knight Templar.
