NEAL, Thomas; born, Corunna, Ont., Sept. 27, 1858; son of Henry N. and Mary (Proctor) Neal; educated in public schools of Detroit; married at Detroit, May 14, 1884, Elizabeth M. Davies; one son, Kirke Albert. Assisted in organizing and incorporating the Acme White Lead & Color Works, 1884, and was secretary and general manager from time of organization until 1911, since chairman finance committee; president General Motors Co., 1910-12, resigning to become chairman of the board. Director First National Bank, Michigan Savings Bank. Republican. Episcopalian. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. Mason, Knight Templar, Shriner. Clubs: Detroit, Bankers', Country, Detroit Golf, Followcraft, Detroit Boat, Detroit Athletic. Recreations: golf, horseback riding, boating and fishing. Office: 88 Congress St. E. Residence: 1809 Woodward Ave.
