Assistant chemist, Pennsylvania R. R., Altoona, Pa., 1902-5; Union Pacific R. R., Omaha, Neb., 1905-6; chemical engineer for Arthur D. Little, Inc., Boston, 1907-11; chief chemist General Motor Co., Detroit, since Mar., 1911. Presbyterian. Member Detroit Board of Commerce, American Chemical Society, American Society for Testing Materials, Sigma Nu fraternity, American and Detroit Philatelic societies.
