JEROME, George, civil engineer; born, Detroit, Dec. 24, 1870; son of Franklin H. and Nora F. (Daly) Jerome; grandfather, Edwin Jerome, settled in Detroit, from New York State, in 1829, and a leading civil engineer of the earlier days; father also a civil engineer; educated in public schools, Detroit; studied engineering under private tuition; married, Feb. 6, 1894, Eleanor G. Wiltsie, of Detroit; 3 children: Eleanor, George Leonard, Gilbert T. Began as civil engineer with brother about 1890; assistant city engineer of Detroit, 1891-1907; since engaged on own account. Republican. Presbyterian. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. Clubs: Detroit Motor Boat, New Detroit Athletic. Office: 939-940 Majestic Bldg. Residence: 1137 Jefferson Ave.
