JANSON, W(illiam) Harry, manufacturer; born, Harriston, Ont., Apr. 17, 1874; son of William Thomas and Anna (Gellman) Janson; educated public schools of native town to 1883, when removed to Detroit; graduated from grammar school, Detroit, and attended High School 1 year; married, Detroit, June 17, 1895, Ellen Eugenia Fitzsimmons; 6 children: Charles R., William H., Jr., Ellen Eugenia, Walter Smith, Harriet Anna, Chester Emmet. Began active career at 15 as errand boy for Michigan Drug Co. and advanced to city salesman to manufacturing trade of Detroit, continuing with the company for 21 years; resigned Feb, 1, 1911, to become manager Detroit plant of F. L. & J. C. Codman Co., manufacturers of buffing wheels, Boston. Congregationalist. Member Detroit Credit Men's Association. Mason (Zion Lodge No. 1, Detroit). Recreation: automobiling. Office: 139 Beaubien St. Residence: 169 Atkinson Avenue.
