JACOB, Bernhardt; born, Detroit, Mar. 31, 1870; son of John Christian and Margaretha (Conrad) Jacob; educated in public schools; M.D., Detroit College of Medicine, 1891; postgraduate courses, Berlin, Heidelberg, Wurzburg and Dresden, Germany; married, Oct. 21, 1903, Hulda Gorenflo, of Detroit. Began practice in Detroit, 1891; county physician, Wayne County, 1893-95; physician to Detroit House of Correction, 1896-1913; superintendent House of Correction since June 1, 1913. Member Michigan Medical Society. Mason; member Odd Fellows, Woodmen. Clubs: Harmonie, Detroit Athletic, German American Association, Detroit Yacht. Recreation: outdoor sports. Address: House of Correction. Residence: 368 Alfred St.
