JACKSON, Edmund Davis, contractor; born, near Peru, Miami Co., Ind., Mar. 25, 1873; son of John M., Jr., and Emma (Davis) Jackson; ancestors on both sides arrived in America over 150 years ago; graduated Peru (Ind.) High School; B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Perdue University, 1896; married, 1904, Isabel G. Diack of Detroit; children: Edmund D., Jr., Katharine, Irwin. Began as a surveyor in Indiana; in telephone business, 1898-1901; erection superintendent Russel Wheel & Foundry Co., 1901-8; erection superintendent Vinton Co., 1908-9; engaged as contractor, in own name, 1909-10; member Jackson & Maurice, builders of concrete and fireproof factories and commercial buildings, since 1910; also superintendent construction for Ford Motor Co. Democrat. Baptist. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. Club: Detroit Boat. Recreations: motoring, swimming. Office: 1708 Ford Bldg. Residence: 213 Allister. Ave.
