COHN, Sidney B., wholesale grocer; born, Memphis, Tenn, July 24, 1865; son of Matthew A. and Theresa (Koebner) Cohn; educated in public schools and commercial college, Little Rock, Ark.; married, Dec. 27, 1897, Stella Hughes, of St. Louis; 1 son, Ralph Emerson. Began in general store, Little Rock; then in retail grocery business 3 years; with Austin, Nichols & Co., wholesale grocers, St. Louis, 20 years, 1891-1912; removed to Detroit and president General Grocery Co. since 1912; director Coohelia Mining & Smelting Co., of Mexico, Coohelia Lead & Zinc Co., of Webb City, Mo. Republican. Congregationalist. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. 32° Mason, Shriner. Club: Fellowcraft. Recreation: country life. Office: 124-130 Lamed St. W. Residence: Lenox Apts.
