COGHLIN, Walter Louis, president and treasurer Michigan Grey Iron Castings Co.; born, Toledo, O., June 20, 1874; son of Dennis and Mary (McTingue) Coghlin; educated Good Shepherd School and Davies Business College, Toledo; married, Toledo, O., Oct. 24, 1900, Hattie Blainey; 3 children: Letty Alice, John Walter, Madge Margaret. In foundry business since beginning of active career; started at Toledo, 1889; removed to Detroit, May, 1905; one of the organizera of the Michigan Grey Iron Castings Co., superintendent, Oct., 1907-9, president, 1909-13, since president and treasurer. Also director Coghlin Machinery and Supply Co., Toledo. Member The Foundry. men's Association, Employers' Association of Detroit. Catholic. Member Knights of Columbus, Knights of Equity. Recreation: automobiling. Office: 247-253 Harbaugh Ave. Residence: 383 Military Ave.
