United States civil service, continuing 1896-1900; was chief of experimental department Olds Motor Works, Detroit
and Lansing, 1902-5, and chief engineer same 1905-6; vice president and chief engineer E. R. Thomas Detroit Co.,
1906-8; vice president and consulting engineer Chalmers Detroit Motor Co. 1908.10; now vice president and consulting
engineer Hudson Motor Car Co. Member American Society Mechanical Engineers, Society Automobile Engineers (president,
1910), Detroit Engineering Society, Detroit Board of Commerce, Mechanical Cooperatin Committee Automobile Chamber
of Commerce. Clubs: Aero of Michigan, Aero of America, Detroit, Country, University, Detroit Boat, Automobile of
Detroit, Wolverine Automobile, Detroit Motor Boat, Detroit Athletic, Engineers' (New York). Recreations: motor
