Codd; educated in public and high schools of Detroit and University of Michigan, graduating, degree of A.B., 1891; married at Detroit, Oct. 2, 1894, Kathleen Warner; 3 children: John W., George C., Kathleen. Has engaged in practice in Detroit since 1892; member law firm of Codd & Hall, 1906-9, Codd & Drake, 1909-10. Assistant city attorney, 1893-96; alderman, 1902, 1903 and 1904; mayor City of Detroit, 1905-6; elected crcuit judge of Wayne County, 1911, for term of 6 years. Regent University of Michigan, 1909-10. Member of Detroit and Michigan State Bar associatios, Delta Kappa Epsilon. Republican. Presbyterian. Mason, Knight Templar, Shriner; member Knights of Pythias. Clubs: University, Country, Detroit Automobile, Harmonie, Detroit Athletic. Recreation: outdoor sports. Chambers: Wayne County Bldg. Residence: 47 Warren Ave. E.
