CLEMENS, Henry Joseph, selling and installing power plants; born, Detroit, Apr. 9, 1880; son of Joseph and Catherine (Stellberger) Clemens; graduated Detroit Eastern High School, 1899; B.S. in Elec. Engineering, University of Michigan, 1904; married, June 27, 1906, Ada B. Campbell, of Detroit; 2 children: A. Isabel and Neil C. Was with engineering departments Reliance Automobile Co., Detroit, Western Electric Co., Chicago; consulting engineer with MeCleary Electric Co., Detroit, 2 years; with F. F. Van Tuyl, Detroit, 4 years, also with Johnson Larsen & Co. and Edward A. Field Co.; selling and contracting power plants, since Aug. 1, 1910, for the Skinner Engine Co., of Erie, Pa., also acts as contracting engineer for power plants on own account. Special teacher drawing and mathematics, Detroit Technical Evening Schools, 5 years. Trustee Village St. Clair Heights, 2 years. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. Republican. Presbyterian. Member University of Michigan Engineering Society, National Association Stationary Engineers. Member Hotah Atchay Fraternity of Detroit, United Commercial Travelers. Club: Exchange.
