CLARKSON, Eugene Stephen, lawyer; born, Macon, Mich., Feb. 5, 1860; son of John J. and Mary Ann (Miller) Clarkson; educated in district school at Macon up to 15; graduate high school, Manchester, Mich., June, 1879; entered University of Michigan, Oct., 1880, and managing editor of Chronicle, University paper, in 1883, graduating, degree of A.B., June, 1884; married at Detroit, June 24, 1896, Mary Wright Stoup (deceased); children: William S., Eugene S., Jr.; married, 2nd, Nov. 17, 1911, Nellie W. Stoup. Has practiced in Detroit since Jan. 18, 1886, making a specialty of corporation and real estate law. Member Association Bar City of Detroit, Detroit Citizeus' League, Commission Government Club, University of Michigan Alumni Association. Democrat. Presbyterian (trustee Westminster Church). Member Masonic order, Knights of Pythias. Clubs: Westminster Men's Club. Recreation: outdoor diversions. Office: 11 Buhl Blk. Residence: 36 Palmer Ave. W.
