CHENE, George Charles, physician; born, Windsor, Ont., Can., Nov. 22, 1882; son of Alex J. and Clara (Barillior) Chene; member of old French family which settled on Detroit River in 18th century; educated Windsor, Collegiate Institute; M.D., Detroit College of Medicine, 1905; married Elsa Burghard, of Detroit, June 4, 1913. Specialist in roentgenology; roantgenologist for St. Mary's, Providence and Hotel Dieu hospitals; assistant to chair of roentgenology in Detroit College of Medicine. Catholic. Member American Medical Association, Michigan State and Wayne County Medical societies, Detroit Medical Club, American Roentgen Ray Society, Detroit Institute of Science, Phi Beta Kappa. Member Knights of Columbus. Club: Exchange. Recreation: motoring. Office: 706 Gas Bldg. Residence: 94 Lincoln Ave.
