CHAWKE, Thomas F., lawyer; born, Limerick, Ireland, Dec. 2, 1886; son of James S. and Nora (Hogan) Chawke; A.B., University of Detroit, 1906, A.M., 1909; LL.B., Detroit College of Law, 1909; unmarried. Was brought to America, 1887, and lived in Chicago until 1892; then came with parents to Detroit; admitted to bar, 1909, and formed law partnership with ex State Senator James H. Lee, under title of Chawke & Lee; meniher firm of Chawke & Sloan since 1912; vice president Coleman Manufacturing Co., manufacturers of auto specialties. Democrat. Catholic. Member Lawyers' Club, Knights of Columbus, Knights of Equity, Alumni Association University of Detroit. Recreations outdoor sports. Office: 1129 Ford Bldg. Residence: 312 E. Congress St.
