CHAMBERLIN, William M., advertising; born, Vicksburg, Miss., Oct. 3, 1872; son of William MacPherson and Sallie Givens (Fulkerson) Chamberlin; educated public schools, Vicksburg, Miss.; Chamberlin Hunt Academy, Port Gibson, Miss.; married, June 4, 1903, Emma Leone Viers, of Columbus Grove, O.; children: Gordon Fulkerson and Elliott MacPherson. Began as newspaper illustrator and cartoonist; later illustrating and reportorial work on New Orleans Picayune, Memphis Commercial Appeal, Birmingham News, etc.; engaged in technical publicity since 1905; came to Detroit, 1905, and now proprietor The Chamberlin Co. President Practical Advertising Specialties Co. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. Served in 71st New York Infantry, Spanish American War. Presbyterian. Member Southern Society of Detroit. Clubs: Adcraft, Detroit Athletic. Recreations: art, music, hunting. Office: 401 Free Press Bldg. Residence: 151 Josephine Ave.
