CHAMBERLAIN, Robert M., lawyer; born, Le Roy, N. Y., Mar. 16, 1852; son of David C. and Mary (Finney) Chamberlain; graduate Le Boy Academic Institute, 1869; LB., Williams College, Williamstown, Mass., 1873; married at Detroit, June 7, 1881, Florence A. Lee; one daughter, Caro Frances. Admitted to the bar at Willamsport, Pa., 1875; practiced in Chicago a short time; went to Ridgeway, Pa., and was member of firm of Rathbun & Chamberlain, 1876-77'; removed to Detroit, 1877, and was in office of Moore, Canfield & Warner, until 1881; practiced on own account, 1881-84; member firm of Chamberlain & Guise, 1884-1904, Chamberlain, Guise & Turner, 1904-6, again Chamberlain & Guise until 1907; since member firm of Chamberlain, May, Denby & Webster. Director and treasurer Horton Cato Manufacturing Co.; chairman board of managers W. S. Rathbone Laud Co., Ltd. Member Michigan State Bar Association, Association Bar City of Detroit, Detroit Board of Commerce, Alpha Delta Phi, Phi Beta Kappa, Loyal Legion (by inheritance). Republican. Episcopalian. Clubs: Followcraft, University, Church. Recreation: fishing. Office: Dime Savings Bank Bldg. Residence: 124 Bagg St.
