Hugh, Jr., Bruce, Margaret. Began as office boy with Nationai Cash Register Co., Dayton, at 14, becoming vice president
and general manager, 1900, which position he occupied until 1907; since 1907 president E. R. Thomas Detroit Motor
Co., and its successors, Chalmers Detroit Motor Co. and Chalmers Motor Co.; also director Metal Products Co., Fairview
Foundry Co., Detroit. Member Automobile Board of Trade, Board of Commerce, Detroit Society of Automobile Engineers,
National Association of Salesmanagers, Ohio Society of Detroit. Mason. Clubs: Dayton (Dayton, O.), Sphinx, Pen,
Detroit Country, Automobile, Motor Boat of America (Detroit). Recreations: golf, hunting and fishing. Office: Chalmers
Motor Co. Residence: 275 Iroquois Ave.
