Practiced at Ionia, Mich., 1801-1903; prosecuting attorney Ionia County, 1896-1900; attorney for Bureau of Corporations, Washington, D. C., 1903-9; removed to Detroit, 1909; organizer and first president Detroit Life Insurance Co.; member board of directors, assistant secretary and assistant treasurer Michigan Workmen's Compensation Mutual Insurance Co. since its organization.
