L., University of Michigan, 1900; married at Highwood, N. J., June 12, 1912, Bertha Bliss Bumstead. Began active career as secretary H. J. Caulkins & Co., 1900, continuing for six years; sales manager Phelps Co., 1906-7; secretary and sales manager Michigan Steel Casting Co. since 1907; secretary Detroit Pressed Steel Co. since 1910. Mugwump. Member Psi Upsilon fraternity. Clubs: Detroit Athletic, Detroit, University, Country, Detroit Boat, Detroit Tennis, Indian Village Club. Recreation: tennis.
