Ferguson, of Detroit; children: Lela E. and Rolla L. In practice, Detroit, 1878-94; judge Circuit Court, Wayne County, Mich., Apr., 1894-1902; justice Supreme Court, 1903-8; resigned Sept. 15, 1908, and resumed practice at Detroit; member law firm of Stevenson (Elliott G.), Carpenter, Butzel & Backus. President Detroit College of Law since July, 1902. Republican. Member American Bar Association, Michigan State Bar Association.
