BUZZARD, Irvin George, president The Jefferson Iron Works Co.; born on farm in Oakland County, Mich., Apr. 28, 1856; son of George and Persis (Leonard) Buzzard; educated Port Huron public schools; married, Nov. 17, 1881, Agnes C. Gleason, of Port Huron, Mich.; two children: Harold G. (deceased), Gleason M. Reared on farm; moved to Port Huron at 9 years of age; engaged in learning machinist's trade at 17; served as apprentice to machinists at Phoenix Iron Works; then steamboat engineer on the Great Lakes for twenty years; located in Detroit, 1905, and associated with Alfred B. Kean in organizing The Jefferson Iron Works Co., of which has been president and manager since Dec., 1905. Recreation: fishing. Office: 7-9 Jefferson Ave. Residence: 1365 Crane Avenue.
