BUSCH, Henry William, secretary Department Parks and Boulevards; born, Detroit, Jan. 30, 1878; son of Frederick and Doretta (Renter) Busch; educated in public schools, Detroit; Pollmar Institute, Detroit; graduated Detroit Business University, 1892; married, Dec. 16, 1902, Cornelia Krieghoff, of Detroit; one daughter, Althea E. Began active career with the Pullmar Co., continuing, 1892-93; in coal business, 1893-1905; with Department Parks and Boulevards since 1905; secretary same since 1909. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. Served in Michigan National Guard thirten years and retired as captain; also served during war with Spain in the 31st Michigan Vol. Inf. Senior vice commander in chief United Spanish War Veterans, 1907-8. Republican. Member Detroit Zoological Society. Clubs: Harmonie, GermanAmerican Association. Recreations: motoring and fishing. Office: 201 City Hall. Residence: 40 Hague Ave.
