BURNSTINE, Meyer, hardware merchant; born, Warsaw, Russia, July 11, 1886; son of Juliua and Yetta (Kallmeyer) Burnstine; was brought to America, 1891; educated Detroit public schools; married, Feb. 16, 1913, Dora Schorr, of Detroit. Began active career as a newsboy; then entered special delivery service of the U. S. Postal Department, continuing six years; engaged in hardware business on own account, 1907; admitted brother, Samuel, to partnership, Feb., 1913; now senior partner firm of Meyer Burnstine & Bro. Republican. Member Detroit Board of Commerce, Michigan Retail Hardware Association. Member Knights of Pythias. Recreations: baseball and traveling. Office: 411 Gratiot Ave. Residence: 179 Adams Ave. E.
