BUMPS, Frank F. lawyer; born, Bangor, Me., June 26, 1861; son of Benjamin F. and Martha A. (Rollins) Bumps; educated Muskegon (Mich.) High School; Ph.B., University of Michigan, 1887; married, Oct. 12, 1897, Edith L. Knapp, of Detroit; three children: Dorothy, Marjorie, Frances. Admitted to Michigan bar, 1892; first assistant prosecuting attorney, Wayne County, Mich., 1901-6; circuit court commissioner, Shiawassee County, Mich., two terms, 1892-96; city attorney, Owosso, Mich., 1896; in practice in Detroit since 1898; member firm of Bumps & Bishop since 1909. Served as sergeant Michigan National Guard. Republican. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. Mason; member Knights of Pythias, Court of Honor, Social Moose. Clubs: Lawyers', Harmonie. Recreation: athletic sports. Office: 844-6 Majestic Bldg. Residence: 196 Pallister Ave.
