BULLEN, Harry, general superintendent Detroit United Railway Lines; born, Norfolk, Eng., May 31, 1864; son of Miles and Ellen (Clark) Bullen; came to America, 1872; educated in public schools of Toronto, Can.; married at Toronto, Aug. 25, 1884, Charlotte E. McLellan; three daughters: Eva Bose (Mrs. A. P. Bowen, of Toronto, Can.), Ada Florence, Clara Eleanor. Began in railway service in 1881 as driver on horse car line, Toronto Street Railway, and later engaged in construction work for the same company; came to Detroit, 1888, and entered employ of Detroit City Railway as track layer, and became dispatcher, assistant division superintendent, division superintendent, assistant general superintendent, and since Jan. 1, 1904, has been general superintendent Detroit United Railway. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. Republican. Presbyterian. Mason; Union Lodge; Peninsular Chapter; Detroit Cornmandery, K. T. Club: Detroit Transportation. Recreation: hunting. Office: 12 Woodward Ave. Residence: 117 Hazelwood Ave.
