BUHL, Willis E. president Buhl Sons Co., wholesale hardware; born, Detroit, Jan. 26, 1875; son of Theodore DeLong and Julia Elizabeth (Walker) Buhl; educated in Detroit High School; married at Chicago, June 6, 1900, Louise Ziegfeld; one son, Theodore DeLong. Entered house of Buhl Sons Co. (founded by Christian Buhl more than fifty years ago), 1893, and was made vice president in 1900; in April, 1907, after death of father in March preceding, became president of the company, a position he has since held. President of the Buhl Stamping Co.; vice president Buhl Malleable Co., Old Detroit National Bank; director National Can Co., Parke, Davis & Co., Detroit United Railroad Depot & Station Co., Lozier Motor Co., Paige Motor Car Co.; also identified with a number of other business organizations. Was petty officer during the Spanish American War on board U. S. auxiliary cruiser Yosemite; active veteran Michigan Naval Reserve; member SpanishAmerican War Veterans' Association. Clubs: Detroit, Country, Detroit Boat, Automobile, Bloomfield Hills Country. Recreations: hunting and all outdoor diversions. Office: 103 Woodbridge St. W. Residence: 1800 Jefferson Avenue.
