BROOCK, Max, real estate, insurance and loans; born, Toronto, Can., Oct. 20, 1870; son of Julius and Marie (Schober) Broock; educated in public schools of Detroit; married, June 7, 1897, Detroit, Elizabeth Forkel; four children: Ferdinand, Harold, Eleanor, Elizabeth Maxime. Began active career at age of 10 as cash boy with Newcomb, Endicott & Co.; then was with C. R. Mabley & Co. and other Detroit houses; entered real estate business for himself, 1892, and has continued. Member Detroit Board of Commerce, Detroit Real Estate Board. Republican Member Harmonie Society, National Geographic Society. Clubs: Detroit Yacht, Detroit Athletic, Detroit Curling. Recreations: outdoor sports and music. Office: 912 Union Trust Bldg. Residence: 73 Erskine St.
