BROKAW, Lee, district manager Federal Sign System (Electric), Detroit; born, Mt. Vernon, Ia., Dec. 26, 1876; son of T. S. and Helen (Holroyd) Brokaw; educated in public schools and Cornell College, Ia.; unmarried. Served as telegraph operator to train dispatcher on A., T. & S. F. R. R. and other railroads in the West for twelve years; became connected with the electric sign business in San Francisco, Feb., 1901; entered employ of the Federal Sign System (Electric), of Chicago, and traveled for the company for one year; local manager for the company at Detroit, 1910 and 1911, district manager since 1912.
